Do you have some computer skills? Why not consider a computer home based business. There are many good business opportunities available to anyone who has the commitment and dedication. And these are two important characteristic one will need if you want to be successful. And isn’t that why people go into business: to be successful? You have to be serious or you will most likely fail at any attempt to have a successful business. If you don’t have the computer skills then you can learn them. All it takes is time. But it is very important that you take that time to become familiar with the Internet.

How important is it to become familiar with the Internet? Well if you want a home based business that is computer related you better make the time to educate yourself. Did you know statistics show that between 90% and 95% of people who start a home based business opportunity fail? What do those 5% to 10% successful people do differently to achieve success with their home based business opportunity? Is it just plain luck that they are successful while so many others are not? The old saying that luck occurs when preparation meets opportunity may have some merit.

Don’t become lazy! It will be difficult to make the time needed to learn if you are still working at a job, but this is where your commitment comes. Keep your long range goals in mind, mainly the opportunity to “retire” from your day job. Preparation! Remember this word. It will be one of the main reasons why you will be either a success or a failure at your home based business opportunity. I’m sure you are glad that your doctor was prepared when he had to treat you for a specific ailment. If he wasn’t prepared he wouldn’t know how to treat the illness. How did he or she prepare to be a doctor? Study and action. We know doctors spend a lot of time in school studying and then putting what they have learned into practice while they are still learning.

You don’t have to learn everything before you start. Once you have a solid based of information you can start your computer home based business. You have to be prepared but that does not mean you wait until you know everything, because that will never happen! Be prepared to learn and then use what you have learned. Put it into action. Not a big difference between success and failure. Successful people are continuously learning. Learning new methods but also learning from their mistakes and the mistakes of others. If you are prepared you can be successful at any home based business opportunity.

If you are not prepared to put in the time do yourself a favor. Don’t even begin a computer home based business. You will just lose some money and end up quitting. Preparation means work. Don’t start any home based business opportunity if you are not willing to work. Too many people believe that success can be achieved by just having a web site and sitting back. Or they believe that others will build their business for them. I have two words for those of you who think like that: good luck! Because you’ll need it. And remember this. Luck occurs when preparation meets opportunity. Be prepared and when the opportunity arises you know what to do. A home based business opportunity can be the best thing in your life if you are prepared.
